Deck & Patio Cleaning in Denver & the Colorado Front Range
Starting at $150 · Licensed & Insured · 5-Star Rated
Colorado is brutal on outdoor wood. Intense UV fades stain in 18 months, afternoon monsoons drive moisture into grain, and fine pollen settles in every groove. We restore decks, patios, pergolas, and fences back to clean wood — ready for re-staining if you want, or just looking great as-is.
Wood vs. composite vs. stone — we clean all three
Wood decks need the lightest touch. High-pressure blasts wood grain and leaves furry fibers that never look right again. We soft-wash wood decks with a sodium percarbonate-based cleaner that lifts the gray, mold, and algae without damaging the fibers. Composite decks (Trex, TimberTech, Azek) get cleaned with a neutral detergent designed for composites — too-alkaline cleaners cause white haze on some composite formulations. Stone patios (flagstone, travertine, slate, concrete pavers) get pressure-washed with appropriate PSI for the stone type, and joint sand gets re-swept if needed.
What we clean
- Wood decks (pressure-treated, cedar, redwood, ipe, mahogany)
- Composite decks (Trex, TimberTech, Azek, Fiberon)
- Stone patios (flagstone, travertine, slate, bluestone)
- Concrete patios (smooth, stamped, colored)
- Paver patios and walkways
- Wood fences and gates
- Pergolas and gazebos
- Outdoor stairs and railings
Ready to re-stain?
If you're planning to re-stain your wood deck, we're the prerequisite step. Stain won't bond properly to a dirty deck — the old gray surface layer blocks penetration. After our cleaning, let the wood dry for 48-72 hours, then stain. We don't stain decks ourselves (we've tried, and honestly there are specialists who do it better).
Our process
- Inspect deck for loose boards, protruding nails, and rot (we'll flag it, not fix it)
- Pre-wet surrounding plants and tarp sensitive areas
- Apply appropriate wood or composite cleaner
- Dwell time 10-15 minutes, agitate if needed
- Rinse with appropriate pressure for surface type
- Sweep joints and re-set sand on paver patios if requested
- Final walkthrough
Typical pricing
Small deck (100-200 sq ft): $150-$250. Medium deck (200-400 sq ft): $250-$400. Large deck (400-700 sq ft): $400-$600. Concrete/paver patio same size range: similar. Fence cleaning: $2-$4 per linear foot. Frequency: every 1-2 years for wood, 2-3 years for composite, 2-4 years for concrete and stone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will pressure washing damage my wood deck?
High-pressure would — which is why we use low-pressure soft-wash techniques on wood. Done correctly, the wood comes out cleaner without any surface fuzzing or grain damage.
Can you clean and re-stain in one visit?
No. Wood needs 48-72 hours to fully dry before staining. We recommend booking your stain contractor 3-5 days after our cleaning. Rushing stain onto damp wood causes peeling within a year.
What about mold between deck boards?
Our cleaner penetrates into the joints and kills mold at the root, not just surface. For heavy mold cases we apply a second treatment.
Can you clean under the deck?
We can clean visible areas but tight crawl spaces under low decks are usually skipped — not enough room to maneuver equipment and it's not a high-value area.
